Morning: 8 or 8.30am (flexible time) after breakfast pick up from your hotel in Siem Reap and journey through the beautiful countryside to explore the magnificent ruins jungle temple of Beng Mealea on the same highway to Koh Ker.
Beng Mealea was built early of the 12th century as a Hindu temple, but some carvings depict Buddhist motifs. Its primary material is sandstone and it is largely unrestored, with trees and thick brush thriving amidst its towers and courtyards and many of its stones lying in great heaps, make the temple become the famost adventure and photoes shooting memory.
Continue to Koh Ker group temples, the city abandoned to the forests north of Siem Reap, and see some of the linga-shrines reclaimed from nature. Marvel at the ruins of sacred sites such as Prasat Thom, Prasat Pram, and Prasat Chrap, and get fascinating insights into the history, culture, and religions of the time. Relax at the local restaurant near the temple, where you can try traditional dish, at your own expense.
After your visiting, drive back to your hotel.
