DETAIL ITINERARY

DAY 1: SUNRISE ANGKOR WAT & SMALL CIRCUIT TEMPLES

Morning: Today we wake up early at 5.00am for Sunrise view or start at 8am after your breakfast

  • Angkor Wat Sunrise:
    Know as the Most Famous Sunrise in The World and explore the whole complex of the temple.
  • Angkor Wat Temple:
    Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire by King Suryavarman II during the 12th century, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the century; as such, it is also described as a “Hindu-Buddhist” temple. Then enjoy your break at the local restaurants near the temple.

After breakfast, continue to see the main temples in small circuit, first stop at

  • South gate of Angkor Thom city:
    Along with a bridge of statues of gods and demons. Two rows of figures each carry the body of seven-headed Naga.
  • Bayon Temple:
    Built in the late 12th or early 13th century the similarity of the 216 gigantic faces on the temple’s towers to other statues of the has led many scholars to the conclusion that the faces are representations of Jayavarman VII, himself
  • Baphuon Temple:
    Built in the mid-11th century, it is a three-tiered temple mountain and the state temple of Suryavarman I dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. the measures surface 120 metres east-west by 100 metres north-south at its base and stands 34 meters tall
  • Phimeanakas Temple:
    Built at the end of the 10th century, during the reign of Rajendravarman (from 941 to 968), then completed by Suryavarman I and enclosed by a wall 600 by 250 meters.
  • Terrace of the Elephant:
    The terrace was used by Angkor’s king Jayavarman VII as a platform 350m-long which to view his victorious returning army.
  • Leper King Terrace:
    Located north next of the Terrace of Elephants, Built in the late 12th century with 7m-high platform, on top of which stands a statue. The front retaining walls of the terrace are decorated with at least five tiers of meticulously executed carvings. there is access to a hidden terrace with exquisitely preserved carvings.

Day 2: PHNOM PENH TO SIEM REAP & SIGHSEEING TOUR

Pick up time is flexible follow our value customer, but the best time recommend is to start at 8am pick up from your hotel, for overland trip from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap see some attractions along way stop and visit:

  • Kralan Village (the snack of sticky rice):
    Kralan is made from rice mixed with beans or peas, grated coconut and coconut milk, palm sugar and sometimes sesame. The mixture is contained in a pole of bamboo and slowly roasted over charcoal for about an hour. Eating this dish, tourists will feel the flavor of rice accommodated with special smell of bamboo, as well as the sweet of coconut milk. Arrive at your hotel, overnight in Siem Reap.
  • Boat trip (Kampong Khleang stilt-houses and Floating Village):
    Kampong Khleang village is a characterful, natural, and charming village where the bulk of the locals draw their livelihood from the great Tonle Sap lake and its tributaries. This unusual sight, and the fascinating way of life of the local people, attracts a lot of tourists, especially during the rainy season. There are tour boats readily available for hire that can take you along the waterways admiring the stilted houses and visiting pagodas, also, heading out onto the Tonle Sap to visit the floating villages and the daily life.
  • Naga Bridge (Spean Praptos – Kampong Kdei Bridge):
    Spean Praptos is on the road from Angkor to Phnom Penh capital city, used to be the longest corbeled stone-arch bridge in the world, with more than twenty narrow arches spanning 285 ft (87m). The bridge was built in the 12th century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It is one of the few Khmer empire era bridges to have survived to the modern day.

  • Skun Market or Spider Village:
    Skun market has become a world famous tourist attraction, due to the deep fried spider snacks that are so popular here. Among all the fruit and vegetable stands, you’ll see women carrying large trays, full of fried and spiced spiders, some the size of a grown man’s palm. the fried spiders of Skun Market are considered delicacies.
  • Silver Crafts Village (Koh Chen Island):
    There are over 40 family-run shops in Koh Chen which you can browsing around and offers you a wide range of silver and clay souvenirs. You can buy some silver bowls, dishes, plates, vases or unique silver boxes in the shapes of animals. The price is based on the content of the silver. Pure silver stuffs can be overpriced nowadays. No one can remember the source of this handicraft since it was passed from generation to generation. The villagers do not go to any art schools, they learn from people around them, for example, from family members.
  • Ancient City of Ondong (Phnom Oudong):
    It was the site of the royal capital from the 17th to the 19th centuries (1618–1863). Located at the foothill of the mountain Phnom Oudong, alos a sacred mountain that features relics from settlements in ancient times well before becoming a sacred place for royalty and Theravada Buddhism in the 17th-century capital. It features 16 stupas (or Chedi) of differing styles containing the remains of kings and royalty of the era.

  • Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum:
    is a museum chronicling the Cambodian genocide. Located in Phnom Penh, the site is a former secondary school which was used as Security Prison 21 (S-21);by the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 until its fall in 1979. From 1976 to 1979, an estimated 20,000 people were imprisoned at Tuol Sleng and it was one of between 150 and 196 torture and execution centers established by the Khmer Rouge and the secret police known as the Santebal (literally “keeper of peace”).
  • Choeung Ek Genocidal Center:
    is a former orchard in Phnom Penh city, Cambodia, that was used as a Killing Field between 1975 and 1979 by the Khmer Rouge in perpetrating the Cambodian genocide. Situated about 17 kilometres (11 mi) south of the city centre, it was attached to the Tuol Sleng detention centre. The bodies of 8,895 victims were exhumed from the site after the fall of the Rouge, who would have been executed there—typically with pickaxes to conserve bullets—before being buried in mass graves.
  • The Central Market (Phsar Thum Thmei):
    is a market and an art deco landmark, tourist can browsing and buy some sovieniar from here. The bright yellow building completed in 1937 has a 26-metre high central dome, with four tall arch-roofed arms branching out diagonally across the block, creating vast hallways housing countless stalls and a variety of goods. Initially designed by city architect Jean Desbois, construction works were supervised by French architect Louis Chauchon. When it first opened in 1937, it was said to be the biggest market in Asia; today it still operates as a market.

Afternoon: Relax for lunch at the local restaurants or back to your hotel  for relaxing and refreshing and start again at 2.30pm.

  • Royal Palace in Phnom Penh:
    The palace was constructed by King Norodom between 1866 and 1870, a complex of buildings which serves as the official royal residence of the King of Cambodia. Largely in the traditional royal style common to Southeast Asia. It is situated at the Western bank of the confluence of the Tonle Sap River and the Mekong River called Chaktomuk (an allusion to Brahma).
  • Silver Pagoda:
    This temple is called Wat Prak (the Silver Pagods) by foreign tourists as the entirety of the floor is covered with 5329 pieces of silver tile. Altogether, the tablets weigh 1,125 kg. There are 1,650 artifacts on display in the temple, most of which are made of gold, silver, bronze and adorned with precious stones such as diamonds, rubies, sapphires and other precious stones.
  • National Museum in Phnom Penh:
    The National Museum of Cambodia works to enhance knowledge of and preserve Cambodian cultural traditions and to provide a source of pride and identity to the Cambodian people. Also the home to the world’s finest collection of Khmer sculpture: a millennium’s worth and more of masterful Khmer design. It’s housed in a graceful terracotta structure of traditional design (built from 1917 to 1920) with an inviting courtyard garden.
  • Wat Phnom Daun Penh:
    The most popula buddhist temple for tourists and local poeple, Set on top of the only hill in town 27m-high and covered by the big trees. According to legend, the first pagoda on this site was erected in 1372 to house four statues of Buddha deposited here by the waters of the Mekong River and discovered by Lady Penh. Hence the city name Phnom Penh or ‘hill of Penh
