DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY:
Moring Activities: Departure & Ancient Ruins
8:00 AM – Hotel Pickup & journey up the mountain takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, driving past the rural Cambodian countryside, sweeping rice fields, grazing cattle, and towering palm trees.
Around 10:00 AM. We arrived the mountain top and fist see the River of a Thousand Lingas Walk along the rocky riverbed to see hundreds of Hindu Shiva symbols and deities carved directly into the sandstone. then continue to Preah Ang Thom (Grand Reclining Buddha) the 16th-century Buddhist monastery, famous for Cambodia’s largest reclining Buddha carved into a massive sandstone boulder.
Midday Activities: Waterfalls & Local Culture
12:30 PM – Picnic & Waterfall Swim: Head to the spectacular Phnom Kulen Waterfall. Relax in the cool, rushing waters of the tiered falls. You can enjoy a local picnic lunch (often grilled chicken and sticky rice) in the surrounding huts.
Optional Activities:
2:00 PM – Srah Damrei (Elephant Pond): Take a sometime for jungle trekking to see impressive, ancient life-size stone carvings of animals, including elephants and lions, which act as the mountain’s guardians. (to see this site you need to hire Moto-Taxis cost 15 per person)
Afternoon Activities: Rural Life & Return
3:30 PM. On the way back to Siem Reap stop at a traditional village where locals produce fresh palm sugar and tasty local palm cakes. Watch locals harvest palm sugar and make traditional palm sugar cakes (nom thnot).
5:00 PM – Return to Siem Reap: Conclude your day trip with a comfortable ride back to your hotel, arriving just in time for an evening in town

- Ticket to Phnom Kulen National Park costs $20 USD per person for all foreign visitors and Children under 12 receive free entry but must show their passport.
Clothing & Gear:
- Modest Swimwear & Towel: Cambodians generally dress modestly. Bring a T-shirt and shorts to wear in the water to be respectful of local culture.
- Walking Shoes: Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes for exploring the uneven jungle paths, the River of 1,000 Lingas, and the steep stairs leading to the waterfall.
- Dry Bag: A lightweight dry bag is perfect to protect your electronics and keep your towel dry while you are swimming.
- Rain Gear: If you are visiting during the wet season, pack a poncho or small travel umbrella.
